Kessler My wife, Betty taught Home Economics at Central High School from September 1959 through June of 1962. She was known as Miss Hurlbut during the school year of 1959-60 and changed her name to Mrs. Kessler for the school years of 1960 through 62. Betty and I met in Dr. Szudy's office at the start of the school year of 1959 and were married in June of 1960. I taught Business Education subjects at Central High School from 1959 until I retired in 1991. I also, ran the Business Education COOP Program, placing students in office jobs. Betty, left teaching in June of 1962 to start our family. When our three children started school, she did some substitute teaching for several years and went back full-time teaching, Family and Consumer Education at Central High School in 1986 and retired in 1992. We retired to the Waupaca, Chain O' Lakes in 1992. We keep busy volunteering for several organizations and traveling often with our close friends, Carl and Jan Powell. Carl also taught at Central.
